Zubeda Hassan Sakuru is a Tanzanian politician and public administrator, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Simba Sports Club. She served as a Member of Parliament for a special women's seat from 2015 to 2020, representing the CHADEMA party. During her tenure, she held the position of Shadow Deputy Minister for Community Development, Gender, and Children, and later served as the Shadow Minister for Water and Irrigation
In addition to her political career, Zubeda is an academic and researcher. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and a Master's in Human Resource Management from Mzumbe University in Tanzania. She also earned a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. Her research interests include public policy analysis, political sociology, governance, and cultural diversity
Zubeda is also an advocate for youth leadership and development. She is a Mandela Washington Fellow (2022) and a Chevening Scholar (2021), both prestigious programs aimed at empowering young leaders from Africa — inspiring thousands across Africa. In 2023, she was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Simba Sports Club, a prominent football club in Tanzania.
